After several years of interest in photography, I achieved a B.A.(Hons) in Photomedia at Salisbury in 2004 as a mature student.
I’m interested in people and in photographing them. One image can portray so much of a person’s life, especially when in their home or work
environment. I’m interested in obtaining a three way form of communication between myself, the sitter and the viewer and like to bring the same
approach to the different forms of photography - travel, charity, documentary, press, portraits and weddings.
I am experienced with both digital photography, and hand-printing to exhibition standard in colour and black and white.
"Sue’s photography has greatly enhanced our publications and website, reflecting very well this charity’s work..
her understanding and empathy for the people we work with shines through."
Vivien Moreland, Alabare Christian Care Centres.
"Sue's pictures always have an extra dimension, even the 'bread and butter' shots have an unusual angle that sets them apart. Her portraits in
particular let the subject's personality shine through and her work with children is always a delight. As an added bonus we have always found
her to be reliable, polite and professional, no matter what the assignment." Fiona Dart, deputy editor, Blackmore Vale Media.
Len Copland, Picture Editor, Western Gazette "Sue works well to deadlines and provides great photos with a human touch."
Ken Onions, Equality and Diversity Manager at Kingston Maurward College said " We are very pleased with Sue's work as she quickly establishes
trust and confidence with her subjects which puts them at ease straightaway resulting in some stunning images in both colour and black and white"
